For those of you that want to e-mail a quote as an attachment or for some reason feel it is necessary to modify or reformat the quotation, the following may prove helpful. While not a prefect solution (the formatting may require adjustment) it does allow you to make changes. First, in the "C" drive locate an appropriate Folder (My Documents or your e-mail default) and Note the Path. 1) In the "Preview Quote" section of JVPD click on File. Then on "Export Report to File..." 2) In the window, under "Save File as Type" change the Type to ASCII. (Rich text does not work well). 3) In the upper block, name your Quote. This is done by substituting the desired name for the (*). Note: Leave the period and the letters txt. 4) In the folders box change the Path to show the folder you have selected (My Documents). 5) Press OK and when the warning about margins appears press continue. Your file will now be saved in the folder you selected. While you can open this file several ways, the best seems to be by using WordPad. In any case, you can now make whatever modifications are necessary and if you want you can e-mail the file as an attachment using you normal e-mail system. However, some e-mail seems to rearrange the formatting. So you may consider copying and pasting it into your e-mail. Note: The JVPDdownload may take several minutes
