Jordan Valve's New Brochure on the Global Water Resources Industry
Jordan Valve sliding gate regulators and globe/cage style control valves are excellent choices for chemical feed systems and plant-wide utility applications. They consistently deliver reliable performance at the lowest cost of ownership possible. Compact, ligtweight design and maintenance ease are added benefits. Where liability and safety issues are of critical concern, Jordan Valve is the solution.
Chemical Feed Systems
- Coagulants and flocculants (alum, ferric chloride)
- Disinfectants (chlorine)
- pH control (lime, caustic soda, sulfuric acid)
- Taste of odor control (activated carbon)
- Corrosion control (caustic soda)
- Fluoridation (hydrofluorosilicic acid)
- Softening (lime, caustic soda)
Jordan Valve offers a broad range of body and trim materials to best suit in the application. Standard materials include bronze, ductile iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. Exotic materials are available where service conditions dictate greater resistance to general corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion.
For chemical feed systems, Jordan Valve recommends the following materials for use with the indicated chemicals:
- 316 stainless steel: alum, ammonia, chlorine, ferric chloride, dry polymer, liquid polymer, ozone/UV systems, sodium hydroxide (caustic soda)
- Alloy 20: sulfuric acid
- Hastelloy C-276: Fluorosilicic acid, sodium hypochlorite
